Q. How long does the cleaning process take?
A. The process takes approximately 30 mins. for a petrol engine and approx. 1 hour for a diesel engine and can vary slightly per the current condition state of the e.g. a blocked DPF or a blocked catalytic-convertor can take slightly longer.
Q. What areas do you cover?
A. We are stationed & service customers within the M25 radius.
Q. Can I visit you for a BlueWhale service?
A. Not required as our engineers will come to your address to carbon-clean your vehicle so there is no travel required from yourself. Simply book a BlueWhale service at a time of your convenience.
Q. How frequently is an engine clean required?
A. We recommend a minimum once a year treatment.
Q. Do you cover all of the UK?

A. If you have multiple vehicles then yes, we do offer incentives. Please discuss this with you BlueWhale contact or submit details via the inquiry form on this site.
Q. I'm interested but how can I be confident that the process will work?
A. Once we have cleaned vehicle, then a run on a road/motorway at the speed limit for a minimum of 30 mins to notice the positive effect on consumption, power & emissions. In addition, all of our engineers have data-capture equipment to record before & after a carbon-clean has been performed to clearly show the changes. If your not happy with results for any reason, then we will be more than happy to refund if there is no engine improvement per our engineer reports.
Q. Will carbon-cleaning my vehicle's engine reduce my carbon footprint?
Q. Can BlueWhale be applied to aquatic modes of transport? (boats etc)
Q.Does the carbon-cleaning process work on both petrol & diesel engines?
A. Yes, if the vehicle has a combustion engine then we can perform a carbon-clean on the engine.
Q. Will I get any certification that my car has been carbon-cleaned in-order to qualify for a lower rate in the London emission charging-zone?
A. We are currently in the process of arranging literature on certification which you can then present to the relevant local authority when requesting a reduction in your emission zone charge.
